We're thrilled to announce that Karolina, Savni, and Amanda each received travel awards for the event — an outstanding recognition of their contributions!
A special shoutout to Amanda and Karolina, who were selected for oral presentations titled Second-generation sperm epigenetic clock predicts male fertility age and time-to-pregnancy in the general population and Sperm DNA methylation outlier burden is associated with pregnancy outcomes in the general population— what an incredible honor! Congratulations to everyone for their hard work and accomplishments.

Trainee Research Day 2024
On October 25th, the C.S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development hosted its very first Trainee Research Day — and what a spectacular event it was!
Trainees from across the center showcased their work through engaging talks and poster presentations. We were honored to welcome Dr. Philip W. Jordan, Professor at Uniformed Services University, as our keynote speaker, who also joined the career panel alongside Dr. Strubakos, Radhika Gogoi, and representatives from 10x Genomics. A huge thank you to all of them for their invaluable insight and guidance!

Discovery to Cure 2024
Summer is always a busy and exciting time in the Pilsner Lab, and this year was no exception! We’re thrilled to congratulate our three DTC 2024 summer interns — Seaha Kim, Yusuf Najy, and Anais Ndione — on a fantastic 8 weeks of hard work, learning, and growth. We're so proud of everything you’ve accomplished in such a short time, and we can't wait to see where your journeys take you next. DruAnne Maxwell gave a compelling 3-minute flash talk, “Single-cell RNA sequencing of PFAS exposed mice testes – preliminary study”, and was honored with the People’s Choice Award for Best Flash Talk — amazing work!
A huge congratulations to everyone for their achievements. We’re already looking forward to another inspiring conference next year!

Wayne State University School of Medicine hosted their Graduate Student’s Research Presentation Day on February 28th. Amanda, Karolina, and DruAnne all presented posters on their research. Sanvi gave a flash talk as well as presenting a poster. Great work on all of your projects thus far!

50th Anniversary Celebration
In June of 2023, the C.S. Mott Center for Human Growth and Development celebrated 50 years of research. The Pilsner Lab, along with other colleagues, attended the Detroit Tigers game for a day of fun and celebration.
